- GIMP: Free and open-source image editor program. Alternative to Photoshop. I use it to make all my graphics and digital art.
- PhoenixCode: Free and open-source text editor that shows a live preview of your code, spots errors, and lets you add custom extensions. I use this to build my sites, and it's my favourite editors for HTML and CSS. Stop building your sites in the Neocities text editor!
- Photopea: Free browser-based image editor, very similar to Photoshop.
- git.gay: Git hosting for queers. Open source, no ads, etc.
- Tor Project: Tor browser for maintaining anonymity, blocking trackers, etc. Remember to stay safe online.
Graphics
- 88x31 Web Button Maker: What it says on the tin.
- Broider: Make pixel art border images. Includes a lot of examples too!
- Custom Border and Panels: Free download of lots of different pixel text box/border images.
- Dither It!: Reduces the colours and file size of your images and gives them a neat retro look.
- OpenGameArt: Creative Commons or public domain assets. Intended for video game devs, but some could certainly be used on a website too.
- Paper Tiles: Tileable background images for a less boring web — hand-made from public-domain wallpaper patterns.
- Scrap Album: Images, graphics, ephemera, and illustrations from the Victorian era.
- Shadows from the Walls of Death: (Mostly) tileable wallpaper samples from the Victorian era, all featuring arsenic.

- 7.css: A CSS library for recreating Windows 7 interfaces.
- 98.css: A CSS library for recreating Windows 98 interfaces.
- Bechnokid's FreezeframeJS tutorial: Add a toggle for gif animations (for accessibility). I plan to add this to my site eventually...
- Code Beautify: Paste in your messy code and fix it.

- SCM Music Player: Seamless audio/music player widget for your site.
